Glass’s insight on the issue is invaluable, he gives suggestions to an unmotivated straight audience to help correct the human rights issue that is killing kids.

“Time will tell you’re wrong. If you’re homophobic, and you’re out there, you better be positive you’re right. Because this is gonna blow, if all these kids are killing themselves, and later, in twenty years, how convenient, you get to write a book (and god bless you if you do it) to say how wrong you were. They’re dead. So why don’t you have a soul searching moment now. Go into your house, close the door, and be fucking positive you’re making kids feel like crap for no god damned reason, because you’re a politician. I watched those debates, and Marc, I was going out of my fucking mind. It seems like we’re going backwards. We’re gonna live to see when they’re embarrassed. It’s not gonna happen in fifty years. In ten years, they’re gonna have to show their grandchildren that and look like fools.”

“I’ve said this before, they go everyone’s so sensitive. I go, you know who’s sensitive? You. Why are you sensitive? Because if you’re right, and it’s okay to use that word, gay, whatever negative word you want to use, if you’re right, well then I’m wrong. But if I’m right, then you have to change. And that’s why you’re sensitive.”

“How to get people to be comfortable with who they are is: Just be clear with your thoughts. If you are not homophobic, let nothing homophobic come out of your mouth, jokingly or otherwise. That comforts kids.”

I’m probably never going to be able to hold someone’s hand in public for the rest of my life. And to anybody that goes, ‘I think Todd’s doing that to himself,’ fucking think harder. This happened over forty-seven fucking years. It’s irreversible.”
